Meet Amanda
I am so glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 13 years of therapy experience providing therapy to women and teen girls. I support clients navigating anxiety and stress, life transitions, body image concerns, trauma, perinatal and postpartum challenges, relationship difficulties, and the emotional impact of living with food allergies.
My hope is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to be fully yourself. Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and individualized (we will also find time to laugh). We will work together to identify what feels most important to you and build practical, meaningful goals for our work together.
My approach is trauma-informed and integrates cognitive and behavioral strategies with attachment-focused and somatic approaches. This means we may explore not only your thoughts and patterns, but also how stress and past experiences show up in your body, relationships, and day-to-day life. My goal is to help you develop greater self-understanding, strengthen coping skills, and feel more grounded and confident in how you respond to life.
I earned a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University and have worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout my career. In addition to providing therapy, I am also an approved supervisor for counselors in training and offer therapist-led art experiences designed to support creativity, connection, and nervous-system regulation.
Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you have spent a long time taking care of everyone else. You can expect compassion, encouragement, and a pace that honors where you are while still helping you move toward the changes you want to make.
